Tyvärr kommer jag med tråkiga nyheter. Det underbara och innovativa bryggeriet Alvinne kommer inte att organisera någon festival nästa år…

Detta event som föddes som Pre-ZBF 2009 och som sedermera fått namnet ACBF (Alvinne Craft Beer Festival) har varit ett uppskattat festivalmål för många och även för mig. De två sista gångerna organiserade bryggeriet eventet tillsammans med den gudomliga ölbutiken Deconinck.

Jag hoppas att vi inte sett det sista av denna fantastiska lilla festival samtidigt som jag är glad att jag hann besöka den vid fyra tillfällen. Alvinne skriver följande i sitt pressmeddelande:

It is with deepest regret we, brouwerij Alvinne and Bierhalle Deconinck, inform you we will not organise Alvinne Craft Beer Festival 2019. We’ve been around for quite some time (from our very first festival in 2009 with De Struise Brouwers and Brouwerij De Molen untill our last one in 2017). We were the very first to invite foreign craftbrewers to Belgium, our way of organising the festival has been a model for so many others. Today we need to face the fact that organising a beerfestival does take a lot of our time, today we need to give priority to just running our brewery. We are happy to see that more craftbeerfestivals popped up over the years (Leuven Innovation, BXL-fest, Billies Craft Beer Fest, …), fantastic organisations with a suberb line-up of brewers from around the globe. I’m sure we will meet eachother at those festivals again. And who know’s what the future will bring? To all who came the past years and had a great time, brewers, crew and beer enthousiastics, we say thank you. We will never forget all those great moments that made ACBF legendary, well at least to us.
